This short video provides a great overview of the Closed-containment Aquaculture Systems research at The Conservation Fund’s Freshwater Institute.
I had the opportunity to visit the Freshwater Institute a couple of times in the past and worked closely with personal and researchers from their organization in designing and building a commercial scale Recirculation Aquaculture System at an Arctic Char farm in Manitoba, in the late 1990’s . Their expertise and help in designing our system was top notch.
Today it is a pleasure to say that their research commitment to advancing closed containment aquaculture is second to none. We have come a long way since the 1990’s and much of that advancement was “greatly” contributed to by researchers such as the Freshwater Institute.
